Semester 2 Reflection

I really liked Art this year, it was fun and i learned a lot. I worked with materials, that I'd never worked with before. I have to say, the Master's Study was my favorite. It was fun to make even though it took a long time to create. My least favorite was the Mixed Media, because I didn't really have the materials I was looking for. My favorite material was the chalk pastels. They were really easy to use. I was going to take an Art class next year but I couldn't. If I could have I would have loved to do a larger scale painting. My favorite picture that I did was my ballerina, because it was very colorful. I also liked doing the zendoodle project from earlier in the year. I also liked using oil pastels too.

These next series of posts are photo alterations(10 in all) and they are for a class project. I need to name the effects i used.

Here's my first one: Yestercolor, dusk, orton

This is a picture I did for extra credit in art (actually I was just bored and doodling) I really like it. I got the idea from "manga drawing luver".

This is a mixed media piece that I made. I'm not really proud of it because I was crunched for time and I didn't have to correct materials that I wanted to use. I used chalk pastel, buttons, some ribbion, and string.

This is my Master's piece :) The original is by Edgar Deegas. I like how this turned out really because I did the whole thing without a green or brown. :D This is in chalk pastel. I really like how it turned out.

Non-Objective Painting

This is my painting. It's supposed to not look like anything in particular. I really like how it turned out, the crayons really helped it look nice! :)

Extra credit picture

this is a picture that I made over the weekend. I really like how it turned out even though I didn't give him eyes. :)

This is my serialism painting. It's a sun-clock on top of ocean waves. Then there's that apple on the foreground.
In this type of painting, it's supposed to be dreamlike. It doesn't have to make sense. Most of the time these types of paintings consist of a background, middle-ground, and fore ground.
I like how it turned out besides the apple, I could have taken more time on that.

Pointalism

This is my painting that I made using the pointalism technique. I thought that this turned out really well considering how bad I am at painting. 

(It's a feather with birds coming out of it :) )

Painting square by square

This is my painting of the northern lights. I used tempra paints and pencil. (yes, I am aware that the painting is tilted) I don't really like how this turned out.

Completed free drawing

This took FOREVER to draw but it turned out really well and my friend loved it. Merry Christmas!
